Transforming the Mary J. Drexel Home A Living Tradition
For more than 133 years, the Mary J. Drexel Home in Bala Cynwyd has welcomed residents, family members and the surrounding community.
Since 2008, significant work has been completed in numerous areas. We continue to work closely with neighbors, and meet regularly to update and explain our plans. Now, moving forward, the timeline from April, 2010 to project ground breaking includes:
- Formal submission of the architects’ tentative sketch plan to the township of Bala Cynwyd (April, 2010)
- Scheduled Historical Commission and Township Planning Commission review meetings review meetings (May or June, 2010)
- Sketch plan approval; and then estimation of development time frames (August, Fall, 2010)
- Engineering, permitting; submittals Township, County, State. (Late 2010, most if not all of 2011)
- Preliminary Plan approval by Township (Estimated between 2nd half 2011, and Spring, 2012; 12 to 18 months after sketch plan approval)
- Engineering, permitting; submittals Township, County, state. (Late 2010, most if not all of 2011)
- Development/construction estimated to begin by 2nd half of 2012.
Liberty Lutheran Services is honored to be the driving force in the renewal of the Mary J. Drexel Home. Beginning in Fall, 2010, we invite you to visit www.libertylutheran.org for updates on future activities.
