Assisted Living is a level of assisted living care offered at The Mary J. Drexel Home. Individuals receiving Assisted Living care reside in a private room. The resident receives a number of support services including three meals a day, medication management, personal laundry services, housekeeping services, social and recreational activities, 24-hour supportive care, friendly reminders about meals and appointments, and accessibility to medical care on-site as well as transportation to area hospitals and doctor offices.

New residents are encouraged to bring cherished furnishings and belongings with them to make their private rooms personal and special. Residents enjoy a wide variety of activities including trips into the community. The feeling of family is particularly evident in the pleasant main dining room where residents enjoy their meals. A beauty parlor/barbershop is located on-site for regular hair care.

All residents at The Mary J. Drexel Home have the following medical related services available: Medical Director, physical, occupational, and speech therapies, ophthalmologist, optometrist, podiatrist, dentist, pharmacy, audiologist, lab services, x-ray services, transportation to local doctors, escort services for appointments, hospice, and assistance with insurance billing.

entrance procedure
§ Applicant completes the Application for Admission, which includes the Personal Health History, and pays a non-refundable application fee of $100.00.
§ Applicant has a personal physician complete the Medical History/Physical Examination Form.
§ A tour of the Home and an interview with the Admission Team is scheduled.
§ A non-refundable admission fee of $5,000.00 is paid upon admission.

Nursing Care
When asked why she recommended The Mary J. Drexel Home to a friend, a daughter of a former Nursing resident replies:

The resident receives total assistance with all activities of daily living, personal laundry services, housekeeping services, social and recreational activities, 24-hour professional nursing care, assistance to meals and appointments, and accessibility to medical care on-site as well as transportation to area hospitals and doctor offices.
